The short version: I only collect what I need to quote your cake, I never sell or share your details, and you can ask me to delete them any time.
When you fill out the enquiry form (or chat with the assistant) I collect:
Only to reply to your enquiry and arrange your cake. Your details go to me (Steph) and stay with me. I don't sell, rent, or share them with any third party for marketing or any other purpose.
The little chat bubble in the corner is powered by Claude AI (Anthropic). When you send a message, it's passed to Anthropic's API so the assistant can write a reply. Conversations aren't kept on the website — the only thing that's saved is the summary you choose to send through to me as an enquiry.
Every enquiry that lands in my inbox is also saved to a private log file on the website's server. It's not visible from the web — it's just a safety net in case an email ever bounces. Nobody else has access to it.
I won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without you asking me to. Replies to your enquiry, yes — newsletters, never (unless you specifically opt in down the track).
This site doesn't use any tracking cookies, analytics, or advertising tools. No pixels, no third-party trackers, nothing following you around the web after you leave.
Just email me at steph@cakemama.com.au and I'll delete your enquiry from my inbox and the backup log. No questions asked.
